Whether it's a slow leak that's been eating your subfloor for weeks or a flooded basement at 2am, our Ely crews are already moving. Hirex Water Damage sends licensed technicians straight to your Ely address with extraction equipment already loaded and running.
Hirex Water Damage started because homeowners in Ely, IA kept telling us the same story: a national hotline picked up, put them on hold, and then subcontracted the job out to whoever was cheapest and closest. Every technician on our Ely roster is a Hirex Water Damage employee, not a gig-app contractor pulled from a random directory.
Each lead tech holds an IICRC Water Restoration Technician certification and has personally handled clean-water, gray-water, and contaminated black-water losses, so Flood Damage Cleanup in Ely isn't a side service we tacked on — it's the reason the company exists. We're fully insured and licensed to work anywhere in Ely, IA, so you're protected from the moment our truck pulls into the driveway.
Our Ely, IA-based equipment cache means drying gear is already close by, not stuck in a truck three states away.
Talk to a Ely property manager who's lived through an overnight pipe failure and they'll tell you exactly why a crew that arrives already equipped matters — every extra minute is more water in the framing. That's the gap Hirex Water Damage was built to close, one Ely call at a time.
The most expensive Ely restoration jobs we run almost never started as a dramatic flood; they started as something small that got put off. Here's what tells us a property needs professional attention rather than a mop and a fan:
Recognizing one of these signs early is the difference between a contained repair and a gutted room, so call our Ely team and get a straight answer on how urgent it is.
We size the Ely response to the actual damage — a single-room extraction gets a two-person crew, a commercial loss gets the full fleet — nothing gets a cookie-cutter response.
Our Ely units run truck-mount extraction pumps that pull thousands of gallons per hour, cutting standing-water time from days to hours. Every extraction job includes moisture mapping so we know exactly which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
Our drying plans use moisture meters and thermal imaging to target air movers exactly where hidden moisture is trapped, with daily drying logs so you can see the numbers improving, not just take our word for it.
For Ely homeowners, that means drywall removal at the flood cut line, subfloor assessment, and content pack-out for anything that can be saved, with clear photo documentation at every stage for your insurance claim.
Multi-unit and commercial Ely properties get their own project manager plus enough drying equipment to cover the real square footage, not a token setup — we know a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants below has to move fast.
When a Ely job involves sewage backup, our team suits up in full PPE, applies EPA-registered antimicrobials, and safely disposes of porous materials that can't be saved.
On top of standard drying, our Ely crews treat affected materials to reduce mold risk and will be upfront if a section needs specialist remediation.
We quote the job before equipment gets plugged in, so there's no surprise line item buried in the final invoice.
Our Ely, IA warehouse keeps drying equipment close, which typically puts a Ely tech at your door inside an hour.
Our paperwork is built to match what adjusters expect, and we'll speak with your insurer directly on your behalf.
If moisture readings aren't where they should be at the end of the job, we come back and keep drying at no extra charge.
Tell our Ely dispatcher what's happening — we'll ask a few quick questions to send the right equipment on the first trip.
A licensed technician heads to your Ely address with extraction and drying equipment already loaded.
Standing water comes out first; drying equipment gets placed only after we've mapped exactly where moisture is hiding.
We re-check moisture levels daily until materials hit dry standard, then hand you full documentation for your records or your insurer.
Every Ely job gets closed based on instrument readings, not a visual check, and we won't call it finished until the numbers say it's finished. If a callback shows lingering moisture within 30 days of a completed job, we return and correct it at no additional charge.
You'll find that exact commitment printed on your Ely paperwork, not just mentioned over the phone. If a second visit is ever needed, it comes from the same crew that handled the original job whenever scheduling allows, since they already know the property and the readings we started from.

We always quote first. You'll see a written estimate for the Ely job before any drying equipment starts running.
Our Ely on-call rotation covers water extraction, drying, and blackwater cleanup any hour of the day or night.
We build our paperwork specifically to match what adjusters need and will speak with your insurer on your behalf.
Dryness is confirmed with instrument readings against a documented dry standard, not just by feeling the wall or carpet.
Blackwater and sewage response is a core part of what our Ely team does, not a job we sub out.
Turn off the water supply if you can reach it safely, keep people and pets out of the flooded area, and don't run electrical devices near standing water.
Commercial response is a regular part of our Ely work — restaurants, offices, and multi-unit buildings included.
Drying time varies with material and how quickly extraction started, but 3 to 5 days is typical for most Ely jobs.
Not if it's addressed quickly — mold generally needs 24-48 hours of sustained moisture, which is exactly why fast extraction matters.
Yes, if moisture readings aren't at dry standard when we finish, or a callback shows lingering moisture within 30 days, we return at no extra charge.
